AMERICAN Castings is involved in strengthening our community. We often partner with local schools, teachers and students. We believe in preparing the next generation of employees for leading jobs within the manufacturing sector and STEM fields. We sponsor programs such as:
- “Foundry in a Box” for bringing the foundry into the classroom for hands-on demonstration of casting process
- FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Team
We are always open to tours and we offer week long teacher externships to provide local educational professionals the opportunity to learn about the inner workings here. It provides the opportunity to see first hand the different departments, disciplines, and educational requirements and skills required to make our business function.
Mayes County FIRST Robotics Team 2022 TEACHER EXTERNSHIP
American Castings hosted its annual Teacher Externship providing local teachers the opportunity to learn about opportunities in manufacturing. This year Hoosier Pattern, Inc. provided 3-D printed cores that American cast to demonstrate 3-D printing technology. These educators play a big role in shaping our youths’ education pathways into the workforce. They help students understand that manufacturing jobs make a difference in the world and that these careers can be exciting, creative and often high-tech!
AMERICAN Castings believes in giving both of our time and resources where we can make a difference. We often partner with local and national organizations to raise awareness and funds for charitable causes.
